BOREL MISSION STATEMENT

The Borel Middle School staff will hold itself accountable to high levels of achievement for all students as determined by state, national and International Baccalaureate standards.  We will strive to develop the whole child, helping students to grow intellectually, socially, ethically and culturally.  Borel Middle School is committed to meeting the unique academic and social needs of a diverse student body through a comprehensive system of instruction and support in a nurturing, caring and safe environment.

6th grade Volleyball tryouts have changed to Tuesday/Thursday next week from 3:30-5pm (instead of Wednesday/Friday). 

 

*Students must pick up their permission slip forms to turn in to your coach on the day of try-outs from your PE teacher, the office or Mrs. Tursi’s room, #16.

*Come to an optional information meeting on Monday, Aug. 29th during lunch in Room 3.

 

Applications for our fall play, Welcome to the Haunted House, will be available on Monday, August 29th at boreldrama.com or in Room 3. The first 80 students to turn in completed applications starting September 7th in Room 3 will be cast in our fall play. No auditions are necessary. This is a great way to get involved in Borel Drama! Rehearsals will be after school on weekdays only. Please see Ms G with questions or visit www.boreldrama.com.

In order to tryout, you MUST turn in a signed permission form the day of tryouts to the coaches. Students will NOT be allowed to tryout or participate without their signed form.

Co-Ed Flag Football: 

ALL 6th, 7th and 8th grade GIRLS and BOYS are welcome to try out!

Monday & Wednesday, August 29 and 31, 3:15-5:00pm at Borel, on grass field.

 

Cross Country:

ALL 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Girls and Boys are Welcome!

Bring appropriate running clothes and shoes

Sign-up/First Practice:   Thursday, Sept. 8th, 3:00-4:00pm   Meet on the blacktop. 

Informational Meeting: Thursday, Aug. 25th, 3:00 - 3:30 in the Borel Gym

7th Grade Girls: Monday, & Wednesday, (August 29 and 31)    3:00-4:30pm

6th Grade Girls: Wednesday & Friday, (August 31 and Sept. 2)     3:00-4:30pm

 

Golf

March 7, 2017 - Pizza My Heart - 2 slices of cheese pizza, carrot sticks and a cookie

 

May 9, 2017 - Rubio's - Chicken burrito, chips and a cookie
