The Borel Middle School staff will hold itself accountable to high levels of achievement for all students as determined by state, national and International Baccalaureate standards. We will strive to develop the whole child, helping students to grow intellectually, socially, ethically and culturally. ELA 8 Teacher and Librarain, Gina Reif, has a new literature circle project posted at Donor's Choose.com for multiple copies of survival stories which she plans to incorporate into an upcoming suspense unit. Once students in her classes are finished reading, the novels will be added to the school's library collection and made available to all students and staff.

Attention 6th grade students! Reminder to turn in your outdoor Ed forms. The due date of Thursday, October 6th is approaching fast! If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Dobel or your Science teacher.
Attention all students interested in joining Debate Club! There will be a brief informational meeting this Friday in room 23 at lunch! We hope to see you there! Please see Ms. Murtaugh for any questions.
A Borel Tech Club is starting on Wednesdays from 1-3 pm, on September 28th. We’ll kick off after pizza with Coding classes from 1:30-3 pm. Classes will have a session cost for Fall, Winter and Spring based on the student-teacher ratio and pizza once a month:) Kids can learn to code for some of their favorite apps and games! Contact information will be on Bobcat Blast.
Borel’s Magazine Sales Fundraiser began on Tuesday, September 23 and will run through Friday, October 7! Your child attended an assembly to learn about selling and prizes, and should have come home with a packet of sales information. Magazines can be purchased via an online or traditional subscription. In addition you may renew a subscription via the sale.
Students can submit orders and pick up prizes before school (7:30-8) on Friday, Sept 30 and Friday, Oct 7.
